Josias e Jesiel

Josias Pereira and Jesiel Silva started singing together in their hometown of Brejo da Madre de Deus, Pernambuco, where they first performed in local churches. Their song "É Só Querer" became one of their most recognizable tracks, connecting with listeners through its straightforward gospel message.

They released their debut album "Som de Vitória" in 2012, which helped establish their presence in Brazilian gospel music. Other songs like "A Chave" and "A Cura" continued in a similar vein, offering simple expressions of faith without much musical experimentation.

Their approach sometimes drew criticism from more traditional gospel circles, but they maintained a consistent output of material that appealed to their core audience. The duo kept working within the familiar structures of their genre rather than pushing boundaries.
