Josias Ramos

Josias Ramos was born in Irecê, Bahia, in 1954. He moved to Salvador in the late 1970s, where he started writing songs. In 1980, his debut album 'O Amor Que Me Faz Feliz' included the track 'Eu Te Amo,' which became a national hit in Brazil.

Over the next couple of decades, he put out albums like 'Sonhar Não Custa Nada' in 1982 and 'Viajando Pelo Tempo' in 1984. His music often blended MPB and samba with straightforward romantic themes, as heard in songs like 'Fiz Essa Canção.'

Ramos dealt with personal struggles, including addiction and some legal trouble in the early 2000s. He kept performing and recording through it, building a dedicated audience for his heartfelt ballads.
