Jovens Vit formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1995, started by siblings Viviane and Vital. The original lineup included Priscilla, Juliana, and Beatriz. Their first album came out in 1999, and the song 'Nunca Falhará' from it became widely known in Brazilian gospel circles.
Some listeners questioned their approach because they mixed pop and rock sounds with gospel music. The group kept recording anyway, putting out albums like 'Jovens Vit' in 2000 and 'Deus do Impossível' in 2007.
Viviane and Vital left in 2007 to work on their own projects. Luciana and Juliana Amaral joined around that time.
