Their music mixed traditional Mexican folk with rock and pop. They put out several albums through the 1980s, including 'Golpes de Amor' in 1984 and 'La Enfermedad del Amor' in 1986. Hernandez's lyrics and the band's style sometimes drew criticism from more conservative listeners.
They kept recording into the early 1990s with albums like 'El Tiempo No Pasa.' The group's sound was built around Hernandez's songwriting and a blend of musical influences that felt particular to their moment.
