Juarez Santiago and Onildo Almeida were a Brazilian folk duo who recorded together in the 1960s and early 1970s. Santiago was born in Paracatu, Minas Gerais in 1936, and Almeida was born in Unaí in 1933. They formed their partnership in the early 1960s.
Their self-titled debut album came out in 1966. It included the song "Feijão de Corda," which became their best-known work. They followed it with albums like Sertão dos Gerais in 1968 and A Viola e o Violão in 1970.
Their music drew from rural Brazilian traditions. Another of their songs was called "Morena Bela." They recorded into the early 1970s before the partnership ended.
