Wynonna Judd first gained attention as half of The Judds, the mother-daughter duo she formed with Naomi Judd in 1979. Their debut album 'Why Not Me' came out in 1984, and they went on to record songs like 'Mama He's Crazy' and 'Love Can Build a Bridge' before disbanding in 1991.
Her solo career began with the 1992 album 'Wynonna,' which included the single 'I Want to Know What Love Is.' That song, a slow ballad, became one of her most recognizable recordings. Other tracks like 'Anyone Who Had A Heart' and 'What The World Needs' appear in her catalog.
In more recent years she has worked with a backing band called The Big Noise, releasing albums under that name in 2016 and 2023. She was born in Ashland, Kentucky in 1964.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
