Juninho do Pan formed his band in 1994 with musicians Paulinho do Pandeiro, Marreta do Pandeiro, and Marquinhos do Pandeiro. They worked out of Vila Nova Cachoeirinha in São Paulo, pulling from the neighborhood's mix of samba, funk, and hip-hop.
His song 'Tô Legal, Tô Na Boa' came out in 1995 and became his signature track. The band released other albums like Pura Alegria in 1997, Batuque do Pan in 2001, and Pancadão do Pan in 2004.
Juninho handled lead vocals and percussion, with Paulinho and Marreta on backing vocals and pandeiro. In 2013, he was arrested on drug possession charges but later cleared his name.
