Junior e Renan are a sertanejo duo from Pontalina, Goiás. They started working together in 2012 and put out their first album, 'Acústico,' that same year. One of the tracks from that record, 'Kiprocó,' became a hit and helped them find a national audience.
They've released several albums since then, including 'Som de Buteco' in 2013 and 'Na Contramão' in 2015. In 2014, they dealt with a copyright dispute over a melody used in their song 'Eu Mereço Ser Feliz,' which created some difficulty at the time.
The duo consists of Junior Nunes de Oliveira on lead vocals and Renan Alexandre de Souza on guitar and backing vocals. They've put out five studio albums through 2019, with 'Tamo Junto' arriving in 2017 and 'Energia Positiva' following two years later.
