JVCKJ

JVCKJ is an electro-pop duo formed in 2017 by vocalists Jessica Core and Kevin Do. Their debut track 'Casamigos' came out in 2018 and helped establish their sound, which pairs ethereal vocals with intricate electronic production. Core, who grew up in Los Angeles, has a background in classical music, while Do is from Toronto and handles much of the production work.

They've released several EPs including 'Dusk' in 2019, 'Dawn' in 2020, and 'Midnight' in 2021. Songs like 'City of Thrills' and 'Step Up' show their range from atmospheric tracks to more driving dance material. Their lyrics sometimes draw attention for being openly introspective, though they've generally kept working without much public response to criticism.

Their music doesn't fit neatly into one category, it's not purely dance pop or ambient electronica, but something that moves between those spaces. They haven't put out a full-length album yet, sticking with shorter releases that let them explore different textures and moods without committing to a single statement.
