K-Liber

K-Liber formed in Curaçao in the late 1990s, with brothers Kenny and Livert Muringen and their cousins Marlon and Gino Loefstop. They started playing local events, working with zouk and Caribbean rhythms. Their 2003 single "Dushi" became a hit across the Caribbean and Europe, a romantic ballad that gave them a wider audience.

Other songs like "E Mucha Diki," "24/7," and "Basila" followed, and they released albums including The Journey Begins in 2004 and Second Chapter in 2006. They've worked with artists like Sean Paul and Wyclef Jean. Some listeners have questioned whether their approach commercializes Caribbean styles, but the band has described their music as a fusion that draws from their roots.
