K4YO was a Brazilian quartet that formed in the late 2000s. Their debut single "Depois" became a hit in 2009, helping establish their presence in the country's pop scene. The band consisted of Bruno Barreto on vocals, Fernanda Takai on guitar, Bernardo Brites on bass, and Rodrigo Tavares on drums.
They released four studio albums between 2009 and 2017, starting with their self-titled debut and ending with "Plural." Their sound shifted over these records, moving from acoustic pop toward more electronic and experimental territory on albums like "Noites de Clã." Another track, "Sozinho," also found an audience among their listeners.
In 2015, K4YO faced some criticism over lyrics in a song called "Não Me Deixe Nunca," which some interpreted as problematic. The band defended the work as artistic expression. They remained active through 2017 before their output slowed.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
