K7

K7 was a Berlin electronic duo formed in the late 1990s by Stefan Bodzin and Hanno Leichtmann. They released their debut album 'Seven' in 1999, which established their presence in the city's techno and house scene. Their track 'Come Baby Come' became their most recognizable work, built around hypnotic rhythms and sparse arrangements.

Their sound tended toward minimalism, with tracks like '7 Years Down' and 'Backslide' emphasizing atmosphere over complexity. They put out several albums through the 2000s, including 'Kick It' in 2001 and 'Sundowner' in 2006. Bodzin and Leichtmann both worked on solo projects alongside the band.

Health issues and addiction problems led to a break in activity for a period. Some listeners felt their later material stuck too closely to their established formula. Both members remain active in electronic music separately.
