Kaal

Kaal formed in Italy in 1999, with Maurizio "Maniac" Iacono on vocals and Francesco "Frank" Corvino on bass. Their early work, like the 2001 track "Allucinazione," mixed industrial metal with ambient textures, creating a sound that was both heavy and atmospheric. They wore masks and costumes during performances, which added to their distinct presence.

Over the next decade, Kaal released albums that continued this experimental approach. Songs such as "Ceneveneve" and "Eis" showed their range, moving between crushing riffs and more ethereal passages. The band's lyrics often dealt with dark, psychological themes, though they kept a relatively stable lineup through these years.

By 2010, they had put out a concept album called The Ending, which explored themes of despair and finality. Tracks like "Come Si Fa" and "Imbranato" from their catalog reflect the band's consistent interest in blending aggression with moody, psychedelic-tinged arrangements. Their music found a cult following, drawn to its unconventional mix of styles and theatrical live shows.
