Kabedal formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2005 with members Rodriguinho, Japeri, and Dodô. They started playing small venues around the city. Keyboardist Fernando Moura joined the group in 2015.
Their 2012 debut album "Longe De Você" included the title track that became their breakthrough song. That ballad about separation, along with tracks like "Loucura" and "Te Amar," helped build their audience in Brazil.
In 2017, they faced plagiarism accusations regarding their song "Não Me Deixe Só," which they denied. Their music draws from Brazilian traditions while incorporating elements of samba and pop.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
