Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is a Bollywood music collective formed by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, and Loy Mendonsa. They started working together on film soundtracks in the early 2000s, blending Indian classical elements with Western pop and rock influences. Their first major project was the 2001 film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which included songs like Say Shava Shava and Bole Chudiyan.

Say Shava Shava became a popular dance track, mixing Punjabi folk rhythms with upbeat production. Another song from that soundtrack, Suraj Hua Maddham, showed a softer, more melodic side. The group went on to compose music for other films such as Kal Ho Naa Ho and Taare Zameen Par, often collaborating with directors like Karan Johar.

Their work includes the song Yeh Ladka Haay Allah and a Spanish version of Bole Chudiyan. The trio's approach to film music kept them active in Bollywood through the 2000s, with each member contributing vocals, guitar, piano, and arrangements across various projects.
