Archive material and source history
Kaco e Neto are two brothers from Crixás, Goiás who started playing music together with homemade instruments at local festivals. They released their debut album 'Romance do Sertão' in 1990, and their follow-up 'Amor Sertanejo' in 1992 brought them wider attention.
Their song 'O Amor Não Se Acaba' became particularly well-known, though there were some questions about its origins when another artist suggested similarities to their earlier work in 2002. The song remained popular regardless, along with other tracks like 'Asas' and 'Caminhos' from their catalog.
In 1994, Neto was in a car accident that left him paralyzed. Kaco continued writing songs during this period, and they kept working together. They've put out more than twenty albums since starting out, mostly working in country styles with some pop touches.
