Kaçuletas do Forró

Kaçuletas do Forró formed in the early 1990s in Bacabal, Maranhão, with Flávio Lima on vocals and accordion. They built their sound playing local festivals in Brazil's Northeast, working with the traditional forró instrumentation of accordion, triangle, and zabumba drum.

Their 2003 song "Devagar (O Santo é de Barro)" brought them wider attention. Other tracks like "Aflição" and "Brilho da Lua" show their approach to forró, which often leans toward slower tempos and reflective lyrics compared to the genre's more upbeat party numbers.

They've released albums including "Ao Vivo em Bacabal" in 1994, "O Forró do Povo" in 1996, and "Devagar" in 2003. The group has included members like Jucélio Lopes on triangle, Adriano Dourado on zabumba, Paulo César on bass, and Bruno Lopes on guitar alongside Lima.
