Their 2016 single "Sou Brasileiro" caught on quickly, becoming something of a national anthem for Brazilian pride. The band was led by vocalist Kadhu Andrade, with Marcelinho Oliveira on guitar, Lucas Andrade on drums, Junior Timbalada on bass, and Dêga on percussion.
They followed up with albums like Bahia de Todos os Sons in 2018 and Axé do Mundo in 2020. Another track, "Um Click e Um Beijo," also found its audience. Some listeners felt Kadhu was commercializing traditional Brazilian music, but the group saw their work as an evolution of those sounds rather than a departure from them.
