Kaick Araújo came up in Salvador, Brazil, where he sang in church choirs as a kid. He started working with producer Dudu Borges in 2017, and they put out his debut album, 'Dependência Emocional.' The title track got some attention, a ballad about love and addiction.
His music tends to lean into emotional territory, with songs like 'Estado de Coma' and 'Só Quero Saber' following similar themes. He's put out a few other records since, including 'Confessions' in 2018 and 'Live in Rio' the next year.
He's played with other Brazilian musicians like Ivete Sangalo and Gilberto Gil. His band includes Borges on guitar, André Moura on bass, Matheus Jatobá on drums, and Junior Lima on percussion.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
