Kalahari formed in 2011 around vocalist Tatiana Rocha, with Alberto Continentino on guitar, Pedro Fonseca on drums, and Pedro Sá on bass. They worked through some early financial difficulties before finding their footing.
Their 2015 single "Além de Nós" became a breakthrough, leading to their self-titled debut album in 2016.
They released a second album in 2020, also called "Além de Nós," and have had their music appear on film soundtracks. The group has collaborated with established Brazilian artists like Caetano Veloso and Milton Nascimento.
