Archive material and source history
Kalamari formed in the early 1990s in Pula, Croatia. The original lineup included vocalist Massimo Savić, guitarist Žan Lelas, bassist Zoran Pitić, and drummer Dalibor Paulik. Their debut single "Boš Prišla" became an instant hit in the country, establishing them with a sound built around catchy pop hooks and guitar-driven arrangements.
They released nine studio albums over their career, including "Boš Prišla" in 1994, "Nebo Boje Moje Ljubavi" in 1998, and "Neka Te Ne Vara" in 2002. In 2003, the band faced plagiarism allegations regarding their song "Kad Si Ostala Sama," which some claimed bore similarities to a Serbian folk tune.
