Kamargo Show formed in Salvador, Brazil in the early 1990s, led by vocalist Reginaldo Rodrigues. Their debut album came out in 1992, and the song "Não Posso Te Esquecer" from that record became a national hit. They played axé music, a style from Bahia that mixes African rhythms with pop and Caribbean sounds.
In 2003, bassist Sérgio Rocha died in a car accident. The band kept going after that, though their lineup changed over time. They put out more than twenty albums, including titles like "É Só Pra Chamar..." and "Demais da Conta." Later on, they released a track called "Pandemia!" that showed they were still making music.
But they remained a popular live act in Brazil for years, known for energetic shows and catchy tunes that got people dancing.
