Karel

Karel formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 2003 with Miguel Ángel Romero on vocals, Óscar Daniel Vela on guitar, and Óscar Iván Treviño on drums. Their debut album came out the following year and included the song "Perdoname." They put out several more albums over the next decade, including Rompiendo Fronteras in 2006 and a collaborative record called Entre Amigos in 2010.

"Perdoname" became their most recognizable track, a ballad that connected with listeners. The band's music generally worked in that emotional territory, with Romero's lyrics often dealing in straightforward themes of love and regret.

They marked their tenth anniversary with a 2013 release called 10 Años. The three founding members remained the core of the group through these recordings.
