Karibe Con K

Karibe Con K formed in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1998, with Emmanuel "Manno" Charlemagne, Richard Cavé, Ralph Mentor, and Angelo Jean-Baptiste coming together around a shared interest in music. Their name translates to "Caribbean with Love." They started playing local events and festivals, working through the usual early struggles that come with trying to make a band work.

Their debut album 'Atrapado' came out in 2001, and the title track became a significant hit for them. The song 'Sin Sentimientos' also appears among their most recognized work. Their sound has been described as a mix of Haitian kompa with pop, and they've incorporated other styles like R&B at times, which has drawn some criticism from listeners who preferred a more traditional approach.

They've released several albums since, including 'Explosión' in 2003, 'Llegó la Hora' in 2005, and 'Pa'lante' in 2017. The group has performed internationally, with shows noted at venues like Madison Square Garden in New York and the Olympia in Paris. The lineup has remained consistent with the four original members.
