Karrsou formed in Ponta Delgada, Azores, with brothers Daniel and Paulo Holanda alongside Guilherme Nunes. Their 2014 debut EP didn't catch on, but they kept playing locally. Things changed in 2017 when they released 'Sem Sentimentos,' a single that connected with listeners and brought them wider attention.
That same year they put out their first album, 'Fool Me Once.' The record mixed pop, folk, and electronic sounds. They followed it with 'As Noites Desapareceram' in 2019 and 'Encanto' in 2021.
Some of their songs touched on social issues, which drew criticism from some corners while others appreciated the approach. The band's lineup remained Daniel Holanda on vocals and guitar, Paulo Holanda on bass and vocals, and Guilherme Nunes on keyboards and vocals.
