Karrsou formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2007, with childhood friends Marcus Vinicius de Alencar and Rodrigo Cardoso at the center. They started playing together with little initial recognition, but kept at it. In 2010, their song "Bate Direito" caught on, becoming a hit that changed things for them.
That breakthrough led to their self-titled debut album in 2011, followed by "Deixa Entrar" in 2013 and "Na Moral" in 2016. The group includes Marcus Vinicius on vocals and guitar, Rodrigo Cardoso on guitar, Pedro Henrique on bass, and Bruno Sampaio on drums. They write together, with Marcus Vinicius often handling lyrics.
Their music pulls from Brazilian rhythms alongside pop and rock elements. Other tracks like "Breathing," "Sanidade," and the collaborations "Solta o Beat" with Kenzo and "Tipo Anitta" with Paulina Manzo and Kamane Kamas show their range within that mix.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
