Katalepsy

Katalepsy formed in Poland in 2002, playing a style of extreme metal built around blast beats, guttural vocals, and dissonant guitar work. The core lineup has included Mart on drums, Wojtek on bass, and Michau handling vocals and guitars, with various other musicians contributing over time. They've released five albums, starting with 'Autopsy' in 2005 and continuing through to 'Napalm Dreams' in 2020.

Their songs like 'Land Of Million Crosses' and 'Deep Down Madness' deliver the kind of sonic assault that found an audience in the underground metal scene. The 2010 album 'Nucleus' was a concept record about the horrors of science gone wrong, while their self-titled 2016 release marked a return to a rawer sound.

One of their tracks, 'Femicide', tackles the subject of violence against women with unflinching lyrical directness and musical brutality. The band's music has drawn some criticism for its graphic content, but they've maintained their approach without much compromise.
