Katariki Rekka formed in 2005 with Sora Kazami on vocals, Toshiro Inui on guitar, Rin Matsuo on bass, and Aoi Hatori on drums. Their song 'Akazora Renka' became particularly well-known, appearing on their 2010 album of the same name.
They released several albums including 'Aoi no Kaze' in 2007, 'Hana no Uta' in 2009, and 'Tsuki no Hikari' in 2012. Other songs like 'Answer,' 'Fragilia,' and 'Negai' also appeared in their catalog.
The band faced some criticism for their style, which some felt blended Japanese folk elements with rock in unconventional ways. In 2010, Sora Kazami was arrested for drug possession, an incident that drew attention at the time.
Katariki Rekka disbanded in 2016 after releasing their final album 'Kagero' two years earlier.
