i'm guessing it was too hard

to juggle the both of us

you could only ever focus on one

and i got the short straw

and it got shorter as time went

and with the time i went

but it was never us, just you and me

we didn't own one another

you said that right from the start

and i brushed it off

only to find it found its way

back to my heart

see i didn't need you

like you needed me

except now all you need is eyes to see

the mess you've made

the price you've paid

and the bed you've laid

it's too much...and now you're in debt
