Katie Stevens first caught attention as a contestant on the ninth season of American Idol in 2010, where she made it to the top nine. She grew up in Southbury, Connecticut, singing in local talent shows before that national platform gave her a start. After Idol, she signed with 19 Entertainment and put out her debut EP, The Chase, in 2011.
Her first full album, This Is Me, came out in 2014. The record had a single called Baby, What Do You Want Me To Do, and she's known for covering songs like Wild Horses and Chain Of Fools. In 2013, she talked publicly about having dealt with an eating disorder, which connected with some listeners. She released another album called Wilderness in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
