KAYEF is a German band formed in 2013 by brothers Ferdinand and Johannes "Jojo" Weissenböck, along with their childhood friend Maximilian "Max" Gruber. They started out playing small venues, working through the usual early struggles of a new group.
In 2015, they released their debut single "Ich Würd' Lügen." The song connected with listeners and helped build their audience, leading to festival appearances. They put out their first album, "Eines Tages Alles Meins," in 2017, which included that track.
In 2017, the band faced plagiarism accusations regarding their song "Freiheit," which they denied. They released a second album called "Liebe & Krieg" in 2020.
