Kblean

Kblean was a Paris-based quartet that worked in a space between electronica, dream pop, and world music. Their debut single "Paris" came out in 2018, a hazy, atmospheric track that gave a good sense of their sound. The group included Vincent Delerm on vocals and guitar, Romain Guerret handling multiple instruments and production, Simon Henner on bass and keyboards, and Caroline Espinet adding violin and vocals.

They followed with a full album called "L'Odyssée" in 2019, then put out "Reverie" in 2021 and "Voyage" in 2023. The music had an ethereal quality, built around Delerm's introspective lyrics and Espinet's violin lines. They were known for creative tensions within the group, which came from having different musical backgrounds and visions.

Their work never broke through to a massive audience, but it found listeners who connected with its mood and texture. The band's catalog holds up as a specific, somewhat insular take on Parisian indie music from that period.
