KC3

KC3 is a Brazilian trio from Salvador, Bahia, formed by Kiko, Cezar, and Claudio in the early 2000s. They started playing together with a mix of samba, MPB, and pop, drawing from the musical traditions of their hometown. Their first album came out in 2006, titled 'Alma Gemea' after the song that became their breakthrough hit.

That song, 'Alma Gemea,' connected with listeners as a straightforward ballad about love and longing. It did well enough on the charts to get them noticed more widely around Brazil. They followed it with another track called 'Quero Você,' which kept things in a similar melodic, accessible vein.

In 2010, Kiko was seriously injured in a car accident but kept working with the group afterward. A few years later, in 2014, Claudio faced public allegations from a former girlfriend, which the band denied in a statement. These events happened as they were building their career, but the details around them are thin in most accounts.
