Kche Bandazza came out of Mexico City in the early 2000s with a sound that mixed traditional Mexican rhythms with pop. Their debut single "Fresa Salvaje" caught on, with a chorus that stuck in your head and lyrics that touched on inequality. It became a hit, and the band found an audience.
They put out a few albums after that, including one called "El Jardín" in 2006. The music had an ethereal quality, and the writing turned inward, dealing with love and loss. The lineup settled with Kche on vocals and songwriting, Diego on guitar, Martín on bass, and Roberto on drums.
At times, their music was called provocative by some conservative groups, and they had trouble getting radio play. They kept making records anyway, releasing "La Ciudad" in 2010 and "El Vuelo" in 2014.
