Keitaro formed in 2001, a Brazilian band that started making music inspired by the online game Tibia. They had a hard time finding listeners outside gaming circles at first, working with what little they had. Their song "Cavaleiros do Tibia" came out in 2004 and connected with people who played the game, becoming something of an anthem in that world.
That track, along with others like "Vai Dragon Lord, Vai!" and "We Will Rook You," gave them a clearer identity.
