Keith Carradine came from an acting family but found his own path in music. He was part of a folk-rock band called The Carradines with his siblings, and they put out a debut album in 1975. That same year, he wrote and performed "I'm Easy" for the film Nashville, and it became a hit that defined much of his musical identity.
After Nashville, Carradine kept recording. Some of his songs, like "Love Of The Blues" and "Homeless Eyes," show a quieter, more reflective side than the breezy charm of "I'm Easy." He released an album called Rags to Riches in 1993.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
