Keith Harkin grew up in Derry, Northern Ireland and started playing guitar as a teenager. He later joined the Irish group Celtic Thunder, where his voice got heard in larger venues. After some years with the band, he began working on his own material.
In 2016 he released his first solo album, 'On the Cusp of a Dream.' The single 'Don't Forget About Me' came from that record, along with songs like 'Daisy Fields' and 'Take It Away Boys.' His recordings sometimes blend Irish folk touches with more contemporary arrangements.
He has also recorded covers like 'Everybody's Talkin'' and 'Have I Told You Lately That I Love You.' In 2018 he left Celtic Thunder, which drew some public attention at the time. Since then he has continued to release his own music.
