Kelwin Ramos came up in Salvador, Bahia, where he grew up around samba and axé rhythms. He started playing percussion and guitar early on, and by 2018 he had put out his first single, "Chave do Amor." That song caught on quickly across Brazil, with its melody and straightforward lyrics finding an audience.
He followed that with other tracks like "Não Há Paredes," "Se Jesus Viesse Hoje," and "Tempo." In 2019 there were some plagiarism claims about "Chave do Amor," but they didn't stick.
He works as a solo artist, though he brings in other musicians for live shows and studio sessions. His songs tend to be about love and faith, like "De Joelhos" and "Em Ti," delivered with a clear, melodic approach that doesn't overcomplicate things.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
