His version of Bread's 'Everything I Own' became particularly well-known. Boothe's voice had a soulful quality that fit well with reggae, and he recorded other tracks like 'Reggae Got Soul' and 'Set Me Free.' In the 1970s, he made albums such as 'The Great Ken Boothe' and 'Cool Reggae.'

Boothe has worked with other Jamaican artists including Alton Ellis, Bob Andy, and Dennis Brown. He's kept performing and recording over time, with songs like 'Be Thankful For What You Got' and 'Christopher Columbus' in his catalog.
