In 2000, he signed with Universal Music and released his debut album, which included the hit song "EU TÔ SOLTEIRO". That track became a major success in Brazil, helping establish him in the sertanejo genre.
He followed up with albums like "Te Amo Cada Vez Mais" in 2002 and "Eu Não Vou Chorar" in 2004. In 2005, he faced a drug possession arrest, which led to a break from music. He returned in 2007 with the album "Vem Me Amar", and has kept recording since.
