Kevin Lizzard formed in 2009 when Raymond White started writing songs in high school in Hawthorne, joined by Ethan Thornhill on bass and Jack Carter on drums. Their debut EP was called "Echoes of a Broken Heart." They put out a second EP, "Shadows of the Past," and in 2013 released their first full album, "The Miseducation of Kevin Lizzard." That album included the song "I'm Not What You Want." Ethan Thornhill left the band in 2015, and Raymond White switched to playing bass.
