Kevin Lyttle came up in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, singing gospel early on before moving toward R&B and reggae. His 2001 single "Turn Me On" connected unexpectedly well, reaching listeners far beyond the Caribbean and landing on charts in the US, UK, and Australia. The song's light, flirtatious rhythm made it a dancefloor staple for a while.
He followed that with albums like Kevin Lyttle in 2004 and Crazy Love in 2007, and later tracks such as "Fever" and "Dance With Me" kept to a similar upbeat, accessible style. Lyttle performed with a band that included keyboardist Donovon Blake and drummer Ian Edwards.
The momentum from "Turn Me On" carried him through the mid-2000s, though he kept recording afterward, putting out Redemption in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
