Kiko Zambianchi was born in Genoa in 1958 and started performing in local bands as a teenager. His career took shape in the late 1970s when he joined the band I Vianella. Their cover of the Beatles' "Hey Jude" became a hit in Italy, introducing Zambianchi's voice to a wider audience.
After leaving I Vianella, Zambianchi recorded solo albums including "Kiko" in 1980 and "L'amore" in 1983. Songs like "Primeiros Erros" and "Rolam as Pedras" appeared in his catalog, though his later years saw less commercial activity than his earlier success with "Hey Jude."
Zambianchi's personal life included struggles with substance abuse and legal issues in the 1990s. He continued performing and recording through these difficulties, with his music finding some renewed interest in later years from listeners discovering his vocal style.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
