Kilcrops came out of Buenos Aires in the late 1990s, with Guillermo Bonetto on vocals. Their first album, 'Caos Mental,' came out in 2000 and got them some attention. The songs on it, like the title track and 'Infiel a Dos Mentiras,' had a rough, guitar-heavy sound and lyrics that felt personal.
They kept putting out records every few years, like 'Ciudades de Ceniza' in 2002 and 'Romance de Lobos' in 2005. The lineup shifted around some, but Bonetto stayed at the center. Later albums included 'El Umbral' in 2011 and 'Mutante' in 2014.
Their music sometimes touched on difficult subjects, which drew both fans and criticism. They weren't trying to make everyone comfortable. By the time they released 'Realidad Virtual' in 2018, they had built a particular following in Argentina's rock scene, one that connected with the directness in songs like 'Alquimia' and 'Anazaret.'
