King was a trio that formed in the early 1980s. Their debut album came out in 1984 and included the song 'Love And Pride,' which became their best-known track. The band's lineup featured vocalist Lou Gramm, guitarist David Khalil, and bassist Dennis St. James.
They released several albums over the next few years, including 'Fatal Attraction' and 'Act III.' Other songs in their catalog include 'Vai Ficar,' 'Only U,' and 'The Story.' The group's sound mixed hard rock elements with melodic hooks.
In 1985, Gramm's health issues forced the band to cancel a tour. Two years later, Khalil faced legal trouble related to drug possession. These events affected the band's momentum during what had been a successful period following their debut.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
