Archy Marshall started making music as King Krule in South London when he was still a teenager. His first EP came out in 2010, and the track 'Out Getting Ribs' gave people an early sense of his sound, a kind of raw, atmospheric indie rock with vocals that sometimes leaned toward hip-hop cadences.
His debut album, '6 Feet Beneath the Moon,' arrived in 2013 and built on that foundation. Songs like 'Easy Easy' and 'Baby Blue' showed how he could shape that initial rawness into something more structured, though still moody and introspective. He kept working in that vein on later records like 'The Ooz,' which came out in 2017.
Along the way, he's done some collaborative work with other artists, including Mount Kimbie and BADBADNOTGOOD. More recently, a track like '(Don't Let The Dragon) Draag On' suggests he's still exploring that same territory of brooding, experimental rock.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
