Kith Mob

Kith Mob came out of Detroit with Tony Yayo and Young Buck handling most of the rapping, and Harold "DP" Davis producing the beats. Their first mixtape, 2006's 'Welcome to Hell,' included the track 'Hilary Banks,' which became one of their better-known songs. They put out a few more mixtapes over the next decade, like 2009's 'The Death of Jay Dee' and 2016's 'War Music.'

Tony Yayo and Young Buck both had some legal trouble around 2009, with Yayo doing time for a weapons charge. Songs like 'Ah Ah Ah' and 'Carregado' from their catalog show the kind of straightforward, beat-driven hip-hop they were making.

They often worked with Lil Kith, who appears on tracks like 'Doree Mean' and 'Joker.' The music doesn't try to reinvent anything; it's just Detroit rap with clear verses and solid production. They had a run of mixtapes that found an audience without becoming mainstream fixtures.
