Klangkarussell

Klangkarussell is an Austrian electronic duo made up of Tobias Rieser and Adrian Held. They first appeared in 2011 with the EP 'Netzwerk,' which mixed house and pop elements into something light and melodic. Their sound got a lot more attention the following year when 'Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)' with Will Heard became a summer hit in Europe and beyond.

That track's bright synths and vocal hook defined their early work, but they've kept releasing music since. Songs like 'Ghostkeeper' and 'Moments' show they can work in a slightly moodier, more atmospheric space while still holding onto the melodic clarity that made 'Sonnentanz' stick. They've stayed fairly quiet as personalities, letting the music do the talking.

In 2014, there was some noise about a copyright claim involving their track 'Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain)' and another popular song, but it didn't go anywhere legally. Mostly, they've just kept making records. Their catalog isn't huge, but it has a consistent feel, uplifting without being saccharine, electronic but with a human touch.
