His breakthrough came with the 1997 song "Tá Maluca," which became a national hit in Brazil. The track's catchy melody and straightforward lyrics connected with a wide audience, defining his career. He released several albums in the late 1990s and early 2000s, like "Tô Te Querendo" and "Menina."
Leandro's music was often described as energetic and accessible, focused on celebration rather than complexity. He continued performing with his band for years, maintaining a presence in Brazilian popular music. He passed away in 2022.
