Kleerup is the project of Swedish producer Andreas Kleerup. He put out his self-titled debut album in 2008, which included the single 'With Every Heartbeat' featuring Robyn. That track, with its sparse, pulsing beat and Robyn's vocal, got a lot of attention in Europe.
His work often involves other singers. The songs 'Longing For Lullabies' with Titiyo and 'Let Me In' with Susanne Sundfør are part of that pattern. He released other albums like '2' in 2011 and 'As If We Never Won' in 2014.
There was a moment around 2010 when a song of his was questioned for sounding similar to work by the French artist Sébastien Tellier. Kleerup said it was a coincidence. He's kept making music since, including a 2018 collaborative EP with the band Van She.
